Chix with Stix was created to be more than just a place to buy yarn. The owners, Dana & Beth, wanted to create a community for knitters and crocheters. They wanted to bring new life to this amazing craft that is centuries old and show people that in this world of instant gratification, creating something by hand is so incredibly rewarding. Fresh, hip, fun, and most importantly, welcoming to both novice and expert knitters, Chix is also a really cool place to hang out. There is a real feeling of friendship and support among the Chix. We believe that sharing ideas, experiences (knitting and non-knitting) is not only motivating, but fun! A little info about the Chix - Dana & Beth met at their first job after college in advertising and have been best friends since. (Although if you ever asked any one back then if they would have predicted a knitting store in the future, Dana & Beth are confident that the answer would have been a resounding no!) Dana is married to Tom and has two children, Beth has 3 boys (and pines away for knitting something pink...!) Together with a lot of help from family and friends, we have built a positive, happy place that includes the unique strengths and opinions of all the people who support us. The Chix community continues to grow - and we couldn't do it without Kelly, Kate, Laura(x2), Janie, Sue, Bethany, Ellen, Eleanor (and don't forget Howie!) just to name a few of the Chix who makes the store a home away from home. Classes, parties, amazing yarn, and a spirit you can't find at just any old yarn store.
